Did you see anything dodgy before the Banks fire?

ACT Policing is investigating a suspicious fire which occurred in Banks yesterday afternoon (Monday, October 24).

Around 3.45pm police were called to a fire in Thomas Hart Street, Banks. ACT Fire Brigade trucks were already in attendance. On police arrival, the roof of the house was fully engulfed in flames and had collapsed.

The house suffered extensive damage however no one was injured in the blaze. AFP Forensics attended the scene and is conducting an examination.

Police are asking any witnesses who were in Thomas Hart Street around the time of the fire, and are yet to speak to police, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
