The Guests, Big City Exile and Manny Sparks at the Phoenix Bar from 9PM onwards.

The Wedded Bliss will support The Angels, this Saturday night at the Venue (Erindale), alongside Australian Kingswood Factory.

The ‘Bliss will also be playing a relaxed Sunday arvo session in the beer garden at the Rose Cottage ( cnr Isabella Drive & Monaro Highway, Gilmore). Free entry, love to see you there! From 3pm. Wear your best hangover.

If you’re not in a theatre this weekend, why not? There’s plays and musicals a-plenty this weekend…

Supa presents “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story” at the ANU arts centre – as reviewed on Riotact, it’s a great show, albiet in a maybe not-so-great venue. Performances tonight, tomorrow and Saturday at 8, plus matinee on Saturday at 2 (and through next week). Tickets range from $25-38, and are available from Canberra Ticketing – book early, performances have already started selling out.

Canberra Rep Studio has their first ever comedy revue at Theatre 3, Acton – top Canberra actors, young and old, in a range of setches by local writers and others – performances tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30, plus matinee on Saturday at 2 – tickets cost $10.

Bell Shakespeare has Othello, with Marcus Graham for the ladies, Wayne Blair for the other ladies, Ron Haddrick for the older ladies, and Leanna Walssman for the nerdier males (she was in Star Warrs, and has her own action figure!). Performances tonight, tomorrow and Saturday at 7:30, plus matinee on Saturday at 1:30, then next week. Tickets $48-60, from Canberra Ticketing.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers has singing, dancing and bridal abduction-a-plenty across the border at hte Queanbeyan Conference centre – performances tomorrow night and Saturday at 8, then through next week – tickets $27-20, from canberra ticketing or Country Heir Interiors (62974054).

And Free Rain presents “Hedda Gabler”, classic Ibsen drama as Hedda fights against a life of boredom at the Canberra Theatre Courtyard Studio – performances tonight, tomorrow and saturday at 8pm, plus matinee on Saturday at 2 and twilight on Sunday at 5, then through next week. Tickets are $18-27, or pay-what-you-can next Wendesday – available through Canberra Ticketing.

Brain Bokka, Live (Planet B.E.N. Recods, Israel)

Israeli based Ori Fitussi better known as Brain Bokka, started Djing and producing music since the end of 1999. His interest in electronic music began in the early 90’s. During the year 1995 he visited some Parties and was was hooked.

He started collecting music and finding new sounds to build his own studio where he started to create and produce is music. For 3 years Brain Bokka was the resident of the Electro Neto weekly line of parties at the Barcoteque (Q club), and got to play alongside various artists and DJs from the international Trance and Progressive scene.

He has played extensively at almost every possible venue in Israel, such as : Sub Kesat Crew, Panda Productions, Moglix Productions, Shula Psychodelic In Space, and many more. In the begining of 2006 Brain Bokka join the Forum Club, there he is the resdient in the Friday night Electronic line, where he is playing a supporting DJ sets with some of the best artists and DJ’s from the international and the Israeli trance sence, Brain Bokka music style can be described as psychedelic full on trance.

They’re those guys that the ‘bring back the biff’ tune came from.

Mount Ainslie and Black Mountain, not to mention Mount Majura, Farrer Ridge, Mount Taylor and the like are all likely to still be there on the weekend and represent value for money ways to get fit and enjoy the outdoors. Free oxygen provided to help you on your climb!
