Four juveniles from the Tuggeranong area were apprehended by ACT Policing for burglary at the Urambi Primary School in the early hours of Thursday, October 13.

About 1 am police responded to a report of several intruder alarms at the school. After driving to the rear of the school, they observed four persons running from the location.

The four failed to stop after being instructed to by police, resulting in a short foot pursuit.

Two 16-year-old boys and two girls, aged 17 and 15, were arrested and taken to the Tuggeranong Police Station.

Police noted a substantial amount of property damage with five windows smashed and further damage inside the premises.

AFP Forensics seized several items for analysis.

All four were eventually released into the custody of their parents and will be summonsed to face the ACT Childrens Court at a later date for aggravated burglary.
