HOLIDAY DRAMA WORKSHOPS @ CANBERRA YOUTH THEATRE
Canberra Youth Theatre runs 2 intensive Holiday Drama Workshops for young actors aged 7 – 9 years & 10 – 12 years. This holidays it will be running in the first week (2 – 5 October) at Gorman House Arts Centre. Actors come to the theatre each day, Monday – Friday from 9am – 3pm.
The young actors work with one tutor in the morning on fun drama games and activities around skills development (voice, movement, characterization) and then after lunch, work with another tutor on devising an original play, which is performed on Friday afternoon to family and friends.
This holidays, the classes are:
1. 7 – 9 yrs Crackin’ Up Tutors: Mia Carr, Catherine Jean-Krista
2. 10 – 12 yrs Techno Town Tutors: Casey Elder, Craig Higgs
Cost: $250 (Members) or $270 ($310 + $20 Membership fee for new members – not payable if you already do After School Drama)
Dates: Tuesday 2nd – Friday 5th October
Time: 9am – 3pm
Where: Gorman House Arts Centre (C Block Theatre & Bogong Theatre)
Bring: Packed Lunch & Water Bottle
Wear: Comfortable clothes (the theatres are fully heated)

We have recently changed the start time of the program from 10am to 9am to assist working parents. For your convenience, the workshops supervisor will be on the premises from 8:45am for parents who need to drop their children off and be in work by 9am.
