ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the robbery of an elderly woman near Woden Library on Friday (June 6).

About 3.15pm, Police attended the Woden Library on Corinna Street, Phillip, following a report of a robbery. An 84-year-old woman reported that a man had offered her assistance with her walker and belongings. When she informed the man she was ‘ok’, he took her purse from her handbag and left.

Police canvassed the area for witnesses and CCTV; however no substantial information was obtained through these efforts.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
