Erindale biter to face the courts

ACT Policing has arrested a 29-year-old Theodore woman for theft and assault after she assaulted a Woolworths’ employee yesterday afternoon (Sunday, May 27).

Around 5.45pm an off duty police officer assisted staff at Woolworths Supermarket in Erindale apprehend a woman suspected of shoplifting.

During the apprehension the woman bit the calf of a Woolworths’ employee.

Police searched her bag and found some property which is suspected to be stolen.

She was taken to the ACT Watch House and charged with theft and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She will face the ACT Magistrates Court today where bail will be opposed.
