Rugbyheaven and the Brumbies websites bring us the news that yet another ex Brumbies player has signed up to assist new coach Andy firend in guiding the next generation of players in next years super 14 competition. Tragically cut short in his playing career, Julian Huxley has joined the coaching staff as a kicking coach, rounding out the team of Andy Friend (head coach), Owen Finegan (Forwards & Lineout), Bill Young (scrum) and ex Harelquins CEO and coach Tony Rea (Defence).

Should make for an interesting mix and i think its wonderful that ex players are so willing come back and support the team and its tight knit culture.

I believe he is doing ok & surgery went well, he won’t be playing rugby again though.

So how is Huxley? Surgery go well? Prospects for recovery? I’m praying he comes good.
