ACT Policing has released a facefit of an offender for the attempted aggravated robbery in Mawson last month.

Around 7pm on Sunday October 30, an 18-year-old man was approached by two men as he sat on the side of the road on Power Street. One of the men demanded the victim hand over his mobile phone and went to grab it. He tried to pry the phone from the victim, however was unsuccessful.

Members of the public came to the assistance of the victim, who received only minor injuries. No property was stolen.

One of the offenders has been identified by police while the second offender is yet to be identified. He is described as approximately 175cm (5’9”) tall, aged in his early twenties with dark brown-coloured hair and eyes.

Anyone who recognises the man depicted in the facefit is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
