Fire at Canberra College

This following in from the ESA:

9:25am Monday 23 August 2010 – Small electrical fire extinguished ACT Fire Brigade on scene of a small electrical fire at Canberra College, Weston Campus, Fremantle Drive, Stirling.

Approx 40-50 people evacuated. Everyone is safe.

Fire has been extinguished.

ACT Fire Brigade investigating cause and ventilating the area.

Two pumpers and the Breathing Apparatus van on scene.

10:00am Monday 23 August 2010 – Update ACT Fire Brigade soon to depart the scene. Library still being ventilated. Smell of smoke caused by workmen in the plant room.
