Fire on Smokers Trail

The ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue are currently working to extinguish a bush fire burning on a fire trail at Smokers Trail, in the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

The ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue has four units on scene.

The fire is located near Corin Dam on Corin Road.

The fire is approximately half a hectare in size and is under control.

The fire is burning at a slow rate and is heading in a south easterly direction.

At the current fire danger level of low-moderate fires can be easily controlled.

There is little to no risk to life and property from this fire.

Fire has been extinguished.

Crews are conducting mopping up operations.

Cause of fire suspected to be accidental.
