I mean seriously, what more could you want? Kangaroo doner kebabs, fresh doughnuts, a bar, and an art auction!

Incidentally if you have a source of doughnut grease in lots smaller than 180kg Robert would love to hear from you: guth(underscore)robert(at)hotmail(dot)com

Yes, so you’d better both be careful and on the look-out for moody vegos with no sense of humour and an arm like Glenn McGrath.

I saw Robert baking the bread and exchanging it for objects at The Front, so it will be great to see the final stages of his project. His bread was excellent, so his doughnuts may be too good to waste as missiles.

Your doughnut trivia of the day: doughnuts are best fried in high melting point fats. If oils that are liquid at room temperature are used they will sweat out puddles of grease once cool.

The frying fat I’m particularly looking for is EOI brand donut shortening. It seems to be the only one that is pure vegetable fat instead of a blend of animal and vegetable. In a retail situation it might not matter that there is animal in the oil but for an arts event I feel a responsibility to provided vegetarian food if possible. While vegetarians will only make up about 10% of the audience they can be a vocal and mood killing minority.
