Free Zierholz Premium Beer Tasting @ Debacle

Come meet the brewer and taste some of the new(er) Zierholz Beers.

The tasting will be held at Debacle in Braddon, 30 Lonsdale Street on Thursday, 22nd May from 5 pm onwards.

We’ll probably run with the Schankbier, German Pils, Weizen, Brown Ale and Porter.

Come along and help me convince the guys from Debacle to put another one or two on tap!..;-)

Prost

Christoph

“it is one of only two venues in oz where you can get a genuine Trappist Ale on tap!”

Pretty sure they serve Chimay White on tap at quite a few places, mainly Belgian Beer Cafes (although the Canberra franchise doesn’t seem to have it on tap).

Not knocking the ornamental tree though, I’m a big fan of your beers Christoph, appreciate you bringing some great brews to this town.

Bringing this up again, on account of it being tonight.

Christoph, I just got an email from your brother F. Zierholz – 2nd degree of seperation in Canberra, strikes again.

Looking forward to that brown ale since 19 May…

Well… usually for a tasting we use the wine sample cups… need to make sure we don’t run out prematurely… and after all, even our 4 year old knows that “sharing is caring”.

That said with 5 x 10.3 Litre mini kegs there might be the chance of getting a larger sample toward the end of the session but obviously we can’t hand out too much seeing we’re in a licenced premises that relies on paying customers. And if you have a tasting in a place like Debacle surely you will feel like a Chimay Tripel to finish on – it is one of only two venues in oz where you can get a genuine Trappist Ale on tap!

yeah but .. how many ‘free’ tastes we do get ?

a schooner of each of the Schankbier, German Pils, Weizen, Brown Ale and Porter?

You could be a vegan even and still get away with it…

…and seeing beer (I mean the real stuff not that low carb artificial enzyme stuff) has less calories than skim milk even those on a diet can join in!

damn my may detox to hell

p.s: i had half a dozen pots of the pale ale variety there Saturday night.. mmmmmm

how many tastes can we have ?

p.s. free beer – 5 stars

Brown Ale you say ?

I’ll be in the area looking for a place to have a free beer by virtue of pure coincidence in my schedule, so I’m going to take you up on that offer, pending an act of god on the day.
