As the Barton set look to drown their sorrows or celebrate that they still have their health it’s good to hear that Friday drinks are coming back to Old Parliament House.

Raise a flute of sparkling, a glass of great wine or a well mixed cocktail to the re-opening of the long standing Friday night drinks in the Reps Courtyard and the Old Non Members Bar at Old Parliament House.

With new custodians, Restaurant Associates (RA) there will be an edgier offering than the standard draft beer and peanuts.

Ashley Feraude, Canberra’s favorite DJ, will get the courtyard grooving with his own take on lounge music, while chef Sebastien Lutaud offers up Dude Food (think spiced chicken wings and quesadilla) that will keep yo’all coming back formore.

The courtyard will be vibrant and funky with food stations under the gazebo, while the indoor lounge will be clubby with a ping pong table and a bar in full swing.

“It was once considered a meat market on a Friday night.” laughs Sean Buttrose, Key Account Venue Manager for RA.

“With a new mood of sophisticated fun established with the re-launch a few weeks ago, I hope this night will attract those that appreciate, not just beautiful women, but a great glass of wine as well!”

Running weekly up to Christmas.
