Fuel smell at Endeavour House

ACT Fire & Rescue on scene at Endeavour House, Captain Cook Crescent, Griffith investigating a smell of fuel.

Crews are evacuating the building as a precaution whilst they investigate the smell.

Update to follow.

11:03am Tuesday 25 September 2012

Crews believe to have found the source of the smell of fuel in the three storey building.

Approximately 100 persons were evacuated and will be permitted to return to the building shortly once atmospheric monitoring and ventilation operations are completed.

Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 10.46am.

ACT Fire & Rescue has departed the scene.

Occupants have been permitted to return to building.

Smell was caused from cleaning products used during routine maintenance on mechanical plant equipment.
