2015 is set to be an exciting year for Canberra as the capital hosts matches as part of the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015 and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
Canberra is hosting seven matches of the AFC tournament from 10 January to 23 January 2015, including a quarter final; and it will host three games during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 with Afghanistan playing Bangladesh on 18 February, West Indies playing Zimbabwe on 24 February, and South Africa playing Ireland on 3 March.
Importantly, with an anticipated television audience of 2.5 billion people, these tournaments will promote Canberra to key international markets and drive new opportunities in tourism and trade.
The Chamber looks forward to seeing you at our business breakfast on Wednesday 20 August at Manuka Oval to explore local business opportunities from these significant sporting events being held in the nation’s capital.
