The Centenary of Canberra folk are making a last call for registrations for the Masters Games over Easter:

An open invitation has been issued to all masters athletes aged 30 and over to register for the landmark Australian Masters Athletics National Track and Field Championships, being held in Canberra over Easter.

The Championships are proudly supported by the Community Centenary Initiatives Fund, and will see over 500 athletes, officials and volunteers participate from 29 March to 1 April 2013.

“The Championships are about friendly competition, focused as much on participation by people of all abilities as they are about the elite competitors,” said Michael Thomson, convenor of the Local Organising Committee.

“This is a great opportunity to participate in what will undoubtedly be one of the major sporting events being held in Canberra during our Centenary year.

“Canberra’s world class sporting facilities will be feature prominently, with track and field events held at the Australian Institute of Sport, and cross country events at the Stromlo Forest Park. The 10km road walk will take in the sights of Lake Burley Griffin, starting and finishing in Lennox Gardens,” Michael said.
