Go plant a tree of three this weekend

Shane Rattenbury is inviting all of you lot along to Mount Majura this Sunday for a tree planting day.

There are worse ways to spend a Sunday.

Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, Shane Rattenbury, is calling on all nature enthusiasts to join him and members of Friends of Mount Majura, Watson Woodland ParkCare and the ACTConservation Council for a National Tree Day planting event at Mount Majura this Sunday.

“We want as many hands on deck as possible to help rejuvenate the natural landscape of MountMajura,” Mr Rattenbury said.

“Everyone who participates in the planting event will leave knowing they have made positive difference to the health of the nature reserve and given back to their community.

Come along wearing a long sleeved shirt and pants, sturdy shoes and sunscreen. Please bring gloves and a bucket if you have them, otherwise all equipment will be provided.
