Hi, All

I ‘ve got a liberty my07, the front doors rattle on rough surface, took it to the dealer several times didn’t fix, one even broke my door handle, this car is still under new car warranty but the dealer can’t be trusted after several attempts, could anyone recommend a better place (north side) to go?

Thanks

Thanks guys

Yeh, fully understand rattles are not covered after 6 month

but even my 10 years old 323 is rattle free on the same road

I am thinking of getting the wholm door trim replaced instaed of taking it off again and again

saving money lol…, does anyone know the cost?

Write to Nick Senior the MD at Subaru Australia nick.senior@subaru.com.au

I had some issues with an MY07 outback and after my email to Nick, amazingly, the dealer was much more helpful.

Chop 71 – (low $ solution) you can get colour-matched paint marker pens in most auto shops which will cover the marks up. The marks will still be obvious, but will be protected.

If you want a better look, spray the areas, masking off the surrounding panel.

Or the most expensive option, a paint shop can do the touch ups for you (or complete re-spray), I suppose what you are willing to spend is key.

On the original post, go straight to the National Warranty number in your cars warranty manual – you might just be amazed at the quick and adequate response which ensues… failing that: ACT Fair Trading

I have a similar request. I have recently purchased an ex govy car at auction and it has a couple of minor scratches (and carpark door bumps) that I am looking at getting touched up. Unfortunatly they are just deep enough that they won’t quite polish out. Any ideas?

Subaroo Servicing & Dismantling in Grimwade St, Mitchell are good, I’ve been using them for years.

Vorspung durch technik. 🙂

Contact Subaru national service manager.

What do you mean when you say they “rattle on a rough surface”?

Its pretty normal for things to rattle on dirt roads.

Try the other Subaru dealer. If that still fails, call Head Office.

I will point out, though, that under the Subaru new car warranty body rattles are not covered after 6 months or 10,000km. So you probably won’t be able to get it fixed under warranty – I guess it depends on how much of a fuss you make….

If you choose to get it fixed privately, Americar in Bungendore work wonders on dodgy Subarus 🙂
