ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a robbery in Gordon last night (Wednesday, September 28).
Around 7.15pm a 61-year-old man was walking along Cleeve Place, Gordon when he was approached from behind by an unknown male who pushed him to the ground and made threats towards him.
The offender took the victim’s wallet which contained a sum of cash and credit cards and was last seen running towards the nature reserve behind Cleeve Place.
The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance and around 20-years-of-age. He is approximately 190cm (6’3”) tall with red hair, a red beard and a heavy build. He was wearing a black tracksuit top and trousers.
Police believe the victim and offender caught an ACTION bus, number 318, from Tuggeranong to Gordon which departed Tuggeranong bus interchange around 6.35pm.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
