It is so typical that Australian politicians associate cycling with sport instead of transport. Now are they thinking about our future or votes I wonder?…O of course they think also in terms of safety, as if bikes were a health hazard and they have not noticed a few cars on the road and the statistical link. I think of the link with global warming and the stupidity of this kind of political stunt and how it continues to promote cars above cycling, almost uniquely as a political agenda in the world.
I hope Barr did his share of work and didn’t just bludge off the peloton.
