The Greens are upping the ante in their bid to lure the print makers out of their promised workshop in the Kingston Fitter’s workshop:

“The development of the Kingston Arts Precinct should have been a coming together of the ACT arts community, but instead we’ve seen an unfortunate battle over the Fitters’ Workshop,” said Ms Le Couteur, ACT Greens Arts Spokesperson.

“Megalo have been promised a new home in the Arts Precinct and the Greens believe that should be delivered. As the Fitters’ Workshop was never going to fit all of Megalo, we believe that a purpose built building is the right option to accommodate the print makers.

“We’ve pledged an extra $2m for the project, taking the total to $5.75m to refurbish the Fitters’ Workshop for exhibitions, performances and celebrations, as well building a permanent home for Megalo.
