Canberra Roller Derby League’s third home season game for 2016 is on Saturday June 25. The resurgent Black’n’Blue Belles will face the steely stare of the Surly Griffins.

The Belles opened their home season in style by scoring a massive 34 points in the first 2 minutes of 2016’s opening game against the Brindabelters. With a mixture of experienced skaters and enthusiastic new blood, derby fans are making early predictions the Belles’ place in the grand final after their convincing first-up win.

The Griffs’ talons were blunted in their first game of the season, going down against their archrivals the Red-Bellied Black Hearts. But it wasn’t a one-sided win for the Hearts. The Griffs outscored their salty opponents for most of the first half. The Griffs’ will be planning to get out in front early and stay in front.

Will the Griffs be the ones Black’n’Blue or will the Griffs take revenge on the Belles for their game 1 loss?

When: Saturday 25th June. Doors open at 6pm, first whistle at 6.30pm.
Where: Tuggeranong Southern Cross Stadium
