Quick wrap of all the news from the tumultuous Brumbies.

The ABC’s Tim Gavel has tweeted the Justin “The Bad Egg” Harrison has been told his services will not be required as Brumbies forward coach next season under Jake White. Tim also Tweets that Rocky Elsom has graced the training paddock, perhaps having been told of some minimum playing criteria for Wallabies selection.

Foxsports reckons former coach Laurie “Gandalf” Fisher is coming back as an assistant coach.

Yahoo reports the Mark “Tavern” Chisholm is leaving to pursue a French pension with Bayonne.

Meanwhile Latest Sport Headlines reports long absent Captain Stephen Hoiles says “Criticism should lift Brumbies”. I look forward to seeing this exciting new half in action. Apparently Hoiles is seeking an urgent meeting to explain why he should be retained as an eternal passenger. (Hoiles has no nickname)

makes you wonder what the hell this season and the last were though.

Perhaps with all their property development aspirations/distractions, they applied the “knockdown” phase of a knockdown and rebuild where they should not have.

Yep, I think that they really need a clean out. There have been too many distractions but then again, that’s the price of the business. Insutlate the players from this crap, or clean out – and of course that will take years to rebuild anyway. As for the management of the club, there obviously needs to be some house-keeping done.

No doubt a total clean out is required and we will be hearing the dreaded “rebuilding” word for a while.

Rebuilding is going to be tough though when semi-retired players like George Smith can sign contracts for $1.2m a season to play Japanese rugby.

Dire times ahead I feel. Perhaps they should make the most of the current climate within Canberra. WE all know that one ‘leader’ is currently free of his day job, so perhaps the ex-Chiefly One can pick up the reigns on a weekend and take up the coaches spot?

With one Minister short in Cabinet, perhaps Katie G could offer up the ‘spare’ to the Brumbies just to tide them over? And as for players, lets start rebuilding – perhaps importing potential canditates from lesser known areas such as Iceland, Budapest or some other obscure countries which haven’t been poached dry yet.

Or, and here’s a thought, let’s get the players and the staff on a diet of that drink…………………what’s it called…………..oh yeah, a can of ‘Man Up’ each day!!!

Clean it up – and get on with playing the game as it should be played!
