ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at Liquor Legends in Hawker over the weekend.

About 9.50pm on Saturday (January 26) a man entered the store and, with a syringe half filled with what appears to be blood, demanded the employee to hand over cash.

Fearing for his safety, the employee handed over a small sum of money. The offender left in an unknown direction.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 173cm tall (5’8”), with a skinny build, dirty-blond curly hair and blue eyes. He is aged in his later teens to early 20s.

He was wearing a light-coloured shirt, khaki shorts and a black baseball cap with a flat peak. The lower half of his face was covered with a green shirt.

Police believe two members of the public were near the store at the time of the incident and may have seen the offender. Police would like to speak with these potential witnesses.

Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
