Slow, noisy, and shake like a Parkinson’s Syndrome smack addict going cold turkey.
Loved every opportunity to sit in a jump seat
Slow? I was in the cockpit on a beat up of RAAF Tindal at 900ft and 312 knots during K95.
Maybe it just seemed slow. First flight was Fairbairn-Richmond-Sale-Laverton.
Sorry Duff, I was pisstaking. 312 kt is about 350mph so it’s faster than a HS748 !! My first flight in a Herc was Richmond-Fairbairn-Laverton-Edinburgh on the way to rookies.

Never complained about an aircraft toilet again after flying in a herc.

Going for #1′s can be tricky but #2′s in turbulence…
Did you end up with a blue arse?
Flew around in them as a kid, then did my work experience at Air movements Tindal in 94…awesome.
I never flew after they introduced the palletised seating, but I loved the mesh seating.
