Aussielyn has sent in this picture of an F18 (not sure if it’s a rhino or the old model, guessing older because they get used more for display work) over Canberra practising for Skyfire tonight.

It’s the classic model, though a two seat trainer.
The Rhino has rectangular intakes, the classic round ones. The classic has air brake on top at the back which I don’t think the Rhino has.
The Hornet in question was a ‘classic’ model, twin-seat F/A-18B.
All reports around Defence this week say the ‘Classic’ F/A-18 will be used at Skyfire. ‘Classic’ is the term now being used for the pre-Rhino model.
