Before Rove Live, Talking About Your Generation, and The Project made him a household name, Charlie Pickering was at the top of his game as a stand-up comedian. Witty, inventive, and edgy, Pickering toured the world, selling out shows from Melbourne to Edinburgh. Now he’s hitting the stage again to say the stuff he can’t get away with on the telly!

He’s been nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award (Edinburgh), The Barry Award for most outstanding show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Best Internation Guest at the NZ Comedy Guild, a Logie Award, and won the CQ Media Personality of the Year.

Charlie will be coming to Canberra for the Canberra Comedy Festival to performing his show Charlie Pickering on March 8 at 7:30pm and 9:00pm at the Canberra Theatre Centre, Playhouse. Book now to see one of Australia’s best comedians in his first trip to Canberra since 2007!

Well thats interesting about this chap. I only see bits of the project when I’m channel flickin.

I wasn’t sure if they were half arsed journos attempting to be comedians; or vice versa.

I’ve seen him live before – he’s great! Very quick witted too when picking on people coming in late etc. Do yourself a favour and go along! /Molly

I watched few YT clips yesterday to see if my initial negative thoughts on his act were valid. They are.
