Howdy Rioters.

My name is Matt and I’m the General Manager of the Entry 29 coworking space in Civic. Tomorrow through Sunday we are putting on an event where volunteers from Canberra’s tech community are helping high school students prototype their first website, mobile app, videogame, 3D Artwork, or 3D Printed object.

We have 40 volunteers helping 130 students. It’s going to be a great weekend with all things tech, including 7 3D Printers and an Oculus Rift or two. We’ve raised 89% of our $20,000 crowdfunding goal, with some 17 hours left to raise the difference. I’d sincerely appreciate your taking a quick look at our crowdfunding campaign page, and spreading the word through your networks: http://igg.me/at/hs-hact-io

You can follow the weekend through our Twitter and Facebook accounts.

This event is 100% volunteers; the money raised is used to cover event costs and some cool prizes for the kids. We’re pumped to grow this into a Territory-wide event with satellite locations in future years to help teens grasp the opportunities available through STEM and entrepreneurship. Cheers 🙂
