Why bother with this football nonsense?

Clearly the best business is to get land at a concessional rate for training purposes and then flog it off for apartments.

The ABC reports the Raiders are getting in on the game.

The Braddon Club has been operating on its current site since the 1980s and has been part of the Raiders’ wider group of licensed premises since 2005.

The proposed plan involves knocking down the club to make way for a mixed-use development which would include about 160 residential apartments, offices, shops and restaurants.

Will they also get rid of cheap lunchtime meals popular with pensioners and replace them with overpriced restaurant fare like they did when they closed the Raiders Leagues Club and replaced it with The Mawson Club? My parents have never forgiven them for doing that.

oh well, I guess it’s back to paying for parking in the city.
