Images of Canberra – Civic public art walking tour Episode 15, The Canberra Times Fountain

By 8 May, 2006 4

On Saturday 08-APR-06 we did the Civic Public Art Walking Tour and lived to tell the tale.

And so, I present to you item # 15, The Canberra Times fountain by Robert Woodward. You can find it at the intersection of Ainslie Avenue and City Walk.

The Canberra Times fountain - by Robert Woodward

It doesn’t mean anything, it’s just a nice fountain.

It also looks a lot nicer now that it has some water in it again. Curse the drought etc.

It looks even better still with a bunch of detergent/soap flakes added to it. Hehehe

As soon as jb finishes this series I plan to present a walking tour of civic’s loos, starting with the suprisingly dirty Canberra Centre ground floor loo and ending with the shrubs along the middle of northbourne.

Cleanest public toilet I have been in including cafes, restaraunts, pubs and clubs ( but not hotel restaraunts ) would have to be the toilets at Adam And Eve. No I am not kidding, maybe they are ( no pun intended ) anal about their cleanliness for obvious reasons.
I wish Cityscape would take a ( no pun intended ) leaf out of their book. Seriously though, its true.
