On Saturday 08-APR-06 we did the Civic Public Art Walking Tour and lived to tell the tale.

And so, I present to you item # 3, World Peace Flame Monument painted by Jim williams and without further attribution in the walking tour guide. It is in Glebe Park and the moths are being drawn to the flame of peace. Quite why a metaphor for impending destruction of the ignorant is being used to describe the world peace faithful is an interesting question.

Nice to know that the Canberra Bogong Moth is directly related to world peace.

Kind of gives me that warm feeling I get whenever I consider my taxpayer dollar could have been better spent.
