It’s not every shopping centre that has internal traffic lights. In any event the Canberra Centre has just installed some shiny upmarket lights as the standard ones were apparently not classy enough for them. The concrete footings were still wet this lunchtime.

Ex-term-in-ate! Ex-term-in-ate!
LMAO
So sexy, so streamlined. It’s perks like these that make me want to live in Canberra. Glorious
Something else for hippies to glue posters on
Moist!
i saw drivers ignore shoppers and speed through that pedestrian crossing on numerous occasions.
dunno if any pedestrians snuffed it (usual reason for new traffic measures), but wouldnt be surprised.
Id like to see that whole road turned into a mall.
i like them!
Ahhh – That will stop the pedestrians, but it won’t stop the bike riders… Perhaps they need something like this

They need road spikes. I am sick of bike riders doing whatever thay want on the roads and then blaming everybody else for their stupidity. Not sure what you call those sit down bikes that are just below the level of a vehicle bumber bar but they are the worst offenders
That would be the recumbent bike.
you might notice they get discussed a lot round here.
Never ceases to amaze me how any issue can some how link back to someones whingly little hissy-fit about cyclists. Get over it or getr off the road.
lets get em boys!
Bring it on!
Anyone who’d like to rethink their prejudices about recumbents, come along to the bicycle bar crawl this weekend. She’ll be late, but she’ll be there.
But does she need her own individual lights to be reminded that stopping would be good.
Seems liks a bit of a waste of resources, for something that should be a resource saver.
i particularly dislike the stupid little flags.

so much i posted thrice
Nope JTK. In fact, this recumbent rider is far more cautious at lights than some uprights I know.
