iParkr - App for Canberra Pay Parking

Hello Everyone,

MyndWorks is an Australian company and we have developed a smart phone pay parking solution for councils. Please see www.iparkr.com

You can check out the demo (including Canberra parking) at http://www.iparkr.com/demo.html or just scan the QR.

Users can

  • Search meter
  • find nearest pay parking on the map,
  • see the parking details
  • select parking duration
  • and use reminder function

Obviously this is still in beta, so creating an account and payment are for demo purpose only. But we could turn payment (including PayPal) on with a flick of a switch.

The idea is to put a QR code and NFC on every meter. When you want to park just scan the QR on the meter that brings up that meter detail. Simply enter duration, Rego and pay.

We would like to get your valuable feedback and input to further shape this. Please send your comments to info [at] myndworks.com.au.

Thank you and appreciate your help.

ps:

– You will be glad to know that iParkr is developed right here in Canberra.

– iOS and Android will be released soon.

Thank you for your comments.

The native apps will show you the nearest meters by default.

When you haven’t got the App installed, the QR code or NFC should open the browser with meter details without having to enter anything. We want to make it as simple and intuitive as possible.

Yes, unfortunately no NFC on iPhone. But QR code should work as Zeital pointed out.

Except iPhone doesn’t have NFC, so an Apple app won’t work under that model. Would be awesome for me though, but I’ll have to wait for testing until you have the Android version.

QR code’s will work on iPhone however……

Will it send a you txt warning you that your time is (nearly) up? And why not have it so that it works out the duration itself and bills you accordingly?

I’d like a button on the first screen that said something like “park here” that uses the phone’s location to work out which car park I’m in; or perhaps given the option of punching in a car park code. I’m guessing that regular users would quickly have their usual spots in their favourites.
