Efforts to change the Chief Minister’s website over to a smiling Katy Gallagher are not going well.
Yesterday the site was assuring us that it would be complete by 5pm.
In fact it was looking pretty good around 3pm on the back pages.
But now the whole thing is down and there’s no projected return date.
So here’s how you do it kiddies. Roll back to the previous iteration, fix your development issues in a sandbox, and then kick it over. Upgrade time should not take more than an hour and if done properly more like 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
Are we surprised that the first thing that Katy has tried to do ended in failure?
RiotACT poking fun at the ACT Government for website deployment and testing problems?
Glass houses…
we didn’t go down completely for 24 hours on a simple image swapout.
What does it take to get you to go down JB?
To be fair, Katy probably has quite a lot on her plate at present.

Oh yeah I can see Katy taking time out from being Chief Mnister and sitting down at a terminal coding the new site.
Moron.

hardly fair – I doubt she does her own website
…at least let her make her own failure first…
I suppose I’ll eventually get used to the new logo…
I don’t like the new font for the rebranding with the driectorate stuff.
maybe with all the budget cuts they’ve got monkeys doing it
still down =(
Took a while but it’s up now. I would love to know what went wrong, or if it was just a case of higher ups sticking their oar in at the last minute.

…polishing a turd, or rolling it in glitter takes time.
