Thought I’d let you know that we, Randall-Blair & the Wedded Bliss, will be supporting Sydney-siders King Curly (www.kingcurly.com) this Saturday night (June 18) at the Church Bar, doors at 8pm. The Curly boys will be on at 9pm sharp, so don’t be late.

Paul Kelly recently rated King Curly thus:

“It seems to me a crying shame that two of the most extraordinary Australian records released in recent years have gone largely unheralded in this country. King Curly’s new album Lullaby and their 2002 debut Family Man blend joy, melancholy and wonder in songs of haunting beauty.

They slipped in and out of my town two weeks ago like ghosts. Some of us who were at the visitation are still walking around as if in a spell. Their name should be shouted from the roof-tops, their records playing in the cafes, their songs on the radio. Please bend an ear to the music of King Curly. Give them fair play. You shall not go unrewarded.“

King Curly, fronted by former Canberra lad, Steve Appel, are currently on an East Coast tour to promote that album, ‘Lullaby’, and won’t be back for another year. So take a punt at the Church this Saturday!!
