Does anyone know if any shops in Canberra stock Krating Daeng (Thai Red Bull)?
Obviously I could order from the Internet, but at $90 a-case plus postage, I’d prefer to find somewhere local – if only to save on postage or the drive to Sydney.
For those not in the know, here’s a picture. Surely I’m not the only Canberran that loves this wonderful beverage?

What’s the difference between Thai Red Bull and the local variety you buy from Woolies?
Try small Asian convenience stores, there’s one next to the woden bus interchange, a couple in dickson and one at mawson shops. I have been able to get this red bull at those places.
I have seen them in most Asian shops. just look around them

Whats the difference between Coocaine and Crack? Lots! The last time i had a 4 pack of them, I rapidly consumed them and within a short while i thought that i was a hillbilly redneck on a 2 week meth binge trying to have my way with paddock maintenance equipment out the back of Belconnen, much to the landowners disgust and curiosity. Powerful, powerful stuff it is, just ask my kids Makita and John Deere, Junior. There was another offspring but it was Stihl-born. So remember, Red Bull can give you wings but it can also give you tetanus.
I too would like to know where I can purchase a bottle or two of liquid time travel.

Thai grocer in Mawson next to Pizza Hut. They also sell the shark brand one! So good!

Strength – the Thai stuff is much stronger.
The Asian groceries in Belconnen, Weedon close one, and the one behind the old BRC they both sell it and they sell it at a rather lowered price.
ive seen it at the asian grocer in dickson
Tee’s Trading House at the Belconnen Markets.

As in more caffeine stronger? I thought we had fairly strict rules on that kinda stuff, how are they allowed to sell it any stronger?

Hello, kidney failure.

You’ve got rocks in your head drinking that crap. Check out Canberra hospital’s renal stats for where the mass-marketing of caffeine-laced beverages is getting us.
Dying of emphyseama has nothing on dying of kidney failure.
The Asian supermarket next to the Noodle House in Dickson sells them.

I have NEVER drunk one of these, or even any other “energy drink” i have an issue with them personally, ( and any other “upper” natural or not, it makes me quite the rager, and i get uncontrollably angry, so i stay right away.) – I know where to buy them all because a family member drinks them.
They are allowed to sell it here with the original recipe somehow, but it is most defiantly stronger – and bad for you.

Excellent! The mad cat lady and I are of one mind.

Thought id fix that, I’m partial to all animals.
And we are often of the same mind… i just don’t let you know

Gawd – I’ve just watched Louis Theroux hanging around the crack quarters of Fresno CA on the tid, and speed’s poor cousin surely should have no appeal whatsoever to anyone!
In moderation they (energy drinks) seem to be fine for (otherwise) healthy individuals.
In excess, like many substances, they can cause death.
Guess it is only a matter of time, judging by some of the hysterical comments, before the evangelical bandwagon get’s them banned..?

Not to mention the studies which have shown a strong correlation in young males between energy drink consumption and risk taking behaviour……
(note: correlation, not causation, which are two different things)

Drinking that crap is risk-taking behaviour (RTB), so it’s a false dichotomy, and no surprised that people who engage in one type of RTB should engage in others.
