The National Capital Authority is making sure you know that the Lake is most definitely open for all uses at the moment:
The NCA advises that Lake Burley Griffin remains open to all contact uses.
Although bacteria has returned to a safe level, the NCA warns lake users that due to recent flood events, large objects or debris may be partially or completely submerged. The NCA urges users to exercise caution and to assess risk levels before entering the water.
The lake will remain open until further notice.
