Have you made it to the hottest food festival of the year? The Commons Street Feast is at Commonwealth Park till the end of this weekend. If you miss out on this celebration of street food and fun then you’re going to suffer from some serious food envy.

You’ll find food trucks, pop-up bars, entertainment, artisan chefs, craft brewers and more in this pay-by-card only event. If you’re a food lover then this festival will make all of your foodie dreams come true.

My must-try list

Peking Duck Fries by Bao Stop
I first fell in love with Bao Stop at the Night Noodle Markets so when I heard they were coming to The Commons I may have done a little happy dance. The crispy fries are topped with succulent pieces of Peking duck and a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce.

Green Apple Mojito by Mister Mixer
This Green Apple Mojito is so refreshing! I think it’s my favourite cocktail of Summer so far. I’m looking forward to trying another one of these yummy creations.

Burgers and Fried Chicken from Mary’s
Mary’s is a Sydney institution and now I know why. These burgers are so, so naughty but they taste so very nice.

Espresso Martini from Melbourne Martini Bar
This delicious concoction of vodka, cold drip coffee, a hint of chocolate and organic sugar syrup is the perfect way to finish the day. The team at Melbourne Martini Bar have sourced, roasted and brewed the highest quality coffee beans from around the world to make this unique cold drip espresso martini. Yum!

Cheese Platter from Pialligo Estate
Cheese, wine, Pialligo Estate? Enough said. Sit on the picnic blankets in the fenced off Pialligo Estate area and enjoy a refreshing wine and one of their amazing cheese platters.

How cool are the bespoke soup tins? You can choose from out of four flavours and you can even take the tin home with you. I went with the American Chow Down – peanut butter gelato, cream cheese gelato, Oreo cookie crumbs and pretzel crunch.

I’m heading back to try more before this fab food fest comes to an end and I have De Wafel, Ribbies and Sakura on Wheelz are on my ‘to eat’ list. Who am I kidding? Everything is on my ‘to eat’ list!

There are heaps of events and entertainment on this week and you can even hire your own butler from $50 an hour to minimise wait times. All you need to do is sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere while they take care of you.

The event is cashless so make sure you bring your debit or credit cards with you because no cash will be accepted. You can head to The Commons for dinner from 12pm today and tomorrow.
