For those of us unfortunate enough to have missed it during the Fringe Festival repeat performances have kindly been arranged.

This info from the Facebook event page:

    In February 2009 Mr Fibby tore the roof off the Courtyard Theatre with their new theatre show Little Girl Lost In The Devil’s Black Beard, presented by Fringe ’09 & Jorian Gardner.

    They played to three sell out houses, and attracted rave reviews from punters, The Canberra Times, and our Grandmothers. The season was so successful that we are remounting it in April!
    “Every story is a door. Every door is a story.”

    Forged from wooden cogs and lizard grease, MR FIBBY are eighteenth century Ukraine’s musical answer to Voltron, comprising:
    The noted card shark and duck smuggler ZAVI (aka Sam King) on guitar;
    Renowned drag king and Rusalka SERAPHINA (aka Emma Jasmine Kelly) on violin;
    Perpetual ladies man and carnival refugee BORRACIO (aka Spike Thompson), on cello;
    And the highly preposterous, rambling biscuit barrel NO IMPORANT (aka Adam Hadley) their story teller.
    They are also joined by the nude squid lithographs of the recently incarcerated E . R . CHAQUETTA.

    LITTLE GIRL LOST IN THE DEVIL’S BLACK BEARD is a rollicking, uplifting tragedy about the deeply depressing adventures of the smallest, loneliest, ugliest girl ever to have lived.

    With influences bounding blindfolded from Gogol & Hoffman, to Poe & Piazzolla, to Mojo Juju & Mikelangelo, MR FIBBY have weaved a high speed moral free fairy tale about grief, betrayal, loss, failure, disappointment and all the finer things in life.

    “Every door is a story. Every story is a door.”

don’t worry, bloodnut, we will be remounting you in May.

I’ll be there too – again. I went last time and was blown away, this show is brilliant. I’ll bet a six pack that if you miss it this time the next opportunity won’t be until you can afford to go to the Edinburgh festival.

remounting it in april.

remounting.

nice one jacinta.

The most amazing piece of musical theatre I’ve seen in ages.

See it. And see them do their other stuff at the National Folk Festival this weekend.
