The Chiefly Stanhope has the thrilling news that his expensive scheme to deflate wages while spiking up housing costs, the Live in Canberra program, is off on a world tour.

Chief Minister Jon Stanhope has confirmed the ACT Government’s largest commitment yet to attracting skilled workers to Canberra with the focus this month on five key international markets.

“The Live in Canberra program will travel to Amsterdam, London, Dublin, Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg from February 9 to 28 in conjunction with the ACT Government’s Skilled and Business Migration Program to promote Canberra’s lifestyle and employment opportunities and the ACT State Migration Plan,” Mr Stanhope said.

“The campaign will incorporate one immigration expo and 15 targeted skilled and business migration seminars. One-on-one meetings are scheduled in each city with skilled workers considering a move to Canberra and with locally based migration agents wishing to promote Canberra’s opportunities to their clients.

“The team will speak to people with skills that are in demand in Canberra’s local industries including health, building and construction, finance, administration, management, engineering and ICT.

Nice work for some.
