If you like Industrial Glitch you might like this offering from Canberra’s Death Cult Massive. On the other hand you might just like the girl in the bikini.

The video’s by Ultimate Fury Productions.

(And get a load of that needle and what it does!!!)

One of the great front men, you could get his name right.

Not that great, I saw The Cult live several times, (I once saw them supporting The Damned as “Southern Death Cult”.) The last time I saw them was at the Cornwall Coliseum of all places. Astbury was good, don’t get me wrong, but hardly great, Billy Duffy was more impressive. Astbury did have a rather unerving effect on all the young women in the audience though, not a dry seat in the house.

Last seen teaming up with Unkle

He just recorded an EP with Boris (awesome Japanese band who do pyschedelic stuff).

JDK – I’m digging the Death Cult Massive stuff. Well done! Hope to see it live some time soon.

Nah, I’m more into the post death pop core thrash folk Badfinger cover band experience core sort of scene.

No relation PB.

Death Cult Massive, to the best of my knowledge, are 2 dudes, at least one of whom is more involved in the extreme metal scene (the other is a drummer who does the live stuff).

There is, however, a Cult tribute band floating around at the moment (they did the support spot at the Dio tribute show at the Basement) called ‘Southern Death Cult’. I always loved The Cult – Firewoman was my fave.

I remember the “Southern Death Cult”, who went on to become “The Cult”, they had a few hit singles, “Rain” being my favourite.

Ian Astberry the lead singer went on to sing in a reformed “The Doors”.

But that was a bit daft.

No relation, I take it?

Jim?
