Hi.

I am the estranged daughter of Iqbal Khan. I have had little contact with him since I was born and I have been searching for him for the past five years. So far, I have managed to ascertain that he and his wife, Farida are the joint owners of a resteraunt in Narrabundah, Canberra called Kashmir House.

Since I have read comments from people who have named him on this site, I was hoping that someone may know him personally. If so, please inform him that his daughter is searching for him and would like to speak to him and his sons/daughters (my half brothers/sisters) and maybe arrange a reunion of sorts.

If anyone knows ANYTHING. How many children he has, how I can get intouch with him, ANYTING, please email me at: leila_pinkfreak@yahoo.co.uk

Thankyou.

ant: there’s one at Ainslie shops too.

Love to find one in the eastern bit of Canberra! nearest thing we’ve found is the one at the little Braddon shops, behind Fenner Hall. Bit greasy though.

Hey astrojax,

You can not beat the burgers (and pizza) from the Torrens take-away. Wherever you are, its worth the drive

hence, ‘bog’-standard, then..?

canberra is entirely underepresented in burger and chip takeaway establishments of great note. very sad.

Oh and while I’m talking to myself, finally there is a proper, normal, bog-standard takeaway in the inner south area. I was always amazed that within three suburbs there wasn’t a place to get your good old burgers, chips and scallops. Bundah Burgers is located at Narrabundah shops where Jem used to be. Unfortunately the food’s rank and the shops stinks of burnt oil.

While we’re on the subject, Kashmir house make freakin great food and it has a comfy, quiet atmos. They might improve their banana sundae a bit but that’s not really Indian.

where’s wally these days?

I thought everyone was looking for alibrandi ?

I know Chaka Khan; is that any help?

How about Imran?

malfeasance? mebbe she’s not official enough.

subterfuge. flimflam, even.

Even if she doesnt live in canberra, it isnt difficult to find the contact number for the restaurant.

Its called http://www.whitepages.com.au

Its the electronic age!

Can this please involve grotesque violence and naughty naughty deeds? Please? Canberra is boring.

I would go as far to suggest some sort of high jinks

Chicanery e.g. Chic Henry?????

… or chicanery

Could even be some skulduggery…

Possibly even some tomfoolery…

Having reread your post, it occurred to me that you may not even be in Canberra, and thus don’t know anything about Kashmir House or how to get in touch.

Try this.

More than enough information for you to continue this without involving the universe.

I know Iqbal through his son Ahmed.

Leila, I would suggest that this is perhaps not an appropriate thing to post publicly, and that you already have sufficient information to get in touch with Iqbal.

It isn’t really anyone elses business.

Shenanigans?

Hmmmn, I sense some mischief afoot…

Well it may if Mrs Khan doesn’t know about Mr Khan’s long lost daughter!

Putting ‘long lost children’ stories on RiotAct isn’t going to cause embarrassment of any significance to the Khans?

Rather odd…if she knows he runs the Kashmir House in Narrabunda why doesn’t she contact him directly. Perhaps Iqbal would be embarrassed that this has all been made ‘public’???
