The ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) will conduct a hazard reduction burn tomorrow, Saturday 12 May, 2012, weather permitting, from 10am till 6pm in the Oakey Hill Nature Reserve, Lyons, between Heysen Street and Hindmarsh Drive.
Two heavy tankers, two medium tankers, one light unit, a command vehicle and 20 personnel will conduct the burn covering a total area of approx seven hectares in size.
The purpose of the burn is to remove a fuel hazard.
