Further evidence of the Mexican food craze that’s sweeping across Australia, Mad Mex has opened their first ACT store in Belconnen yesterday, on Monday, 12 November. And to kick it all off, Mad Mex are running a $5 burrito special on 15 and 16 November for any burrito from their menu.*
Located inside The Fashion Mall on Level 3, of Westfield Belconnen, Canberra’s new Mad Mex store will provide local residents with fresh and healthy Mexican menu choices made with authentic ingredients and spices – many of which are directly imported into Australia from Mexico. Traditional Mexican menu items such as black beans, slow roasted meats and salsas made from scratch using fresh produce, reflect Mad Mex’s commitment to authentic Mexican cuisine.
With 30 stores across Australia, and plans for more by the end of 2012, Mad Mex’s success reflects a changing food landscape.
