Man, 23, charged over Gunning, Gundaroo, Murrumbateman break-ins

A 23-year-old man has been charged in Goulburn following investigations into 11 break and enters in Gunning, Gundaroo, Murrumbateman and Jeir in December last year.

Between Friday 4 December and Saturday 12 December, police from the Hume Local Area Command received reports of 11 separate break and enters in the four southern tablelands towns.

The properties that were broken into were commercial premises, rural farm houses and shipping containers. Items stolen included jewellery, cash, fuel, and firearms.

No was home during the break and enters and no one was injured.

Police from The Hume Local Area Command conducted investigations into the incidents, including forensic examinations of the premises.

A 23-year-old man was arrested in Goulburn yesterday.

He was taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with a number of offences including aggravated break and enter (x11).

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Goulburn Local Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
