Man dies after experiencing difficulties while snorkelling near Moruya

A man in his 40s died after a snorkelling outing near Moruya yesterday morning.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner after the death of the man on the NSW south coast.

About 10.30am yesterday, the man was snorkelling with two other people in waters off Congo when he experienced difficulties and was assisted on board a boat.

The boat started to make its way towards Moruya when the man required CPR.

CPR commenced and NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended Preddys Wharf, Moruya, to meet the boat.

The man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

Officers from Far South Coast Local Area Command are investigating the incident.
