The ABC informs us that Canberra cyclist Michael Rogers has won the Tour of California.

Rogers, 30, a former three-times world time trial titlist riding for the American HTC-Columbia team, held the race lead for the final four days and was victorious by nine seconds over American David Zabriskie, who placed ninth in the stage.

And I’m sure he did all that by training on Canberra’s bike paths. You see fellow cyclists, it is possible to win races by mixing it up with the strollers and tourists, stopping at every ped x’ing and staying off the roads. Stop whingeing!

…..and is also the UCI Pro Tour patron of Team Quon. Allez Mick!

bravo, mick, keep this form. aussies looking in great form for le tour!
