Dear RiotACTors,

After what almost certainly would have been a wildly successful Melbourne Fringe Festival season, had very many Melbournians actually attended, my debut solo comedy show, Kale Bogdanovs is Cultured, is at The Front Gallery & Cafe for a Canberra encore performance. My combined fringe festival audience totalled about 50 over seven performances. By surpassing that total in just one night at The Front, I hope to prove that Canberrans are at least 7 times as cultured as the citizens of Melbourne. I need your help to do that.

In exchange, I promise to change the way you see things for ever. In the space of but one short hour, I will reach into your minds and transform your thought processes completely, leaving colours brighter, sounds clearer and life sweeter. All this will cost you is $5 entry and your attendance at The Front Gallery & Cafe, Shop 3 / 1 Wattle Place, Lyneham, at 8:30pm on Monday the 27th of October. A blurb is included below, as is a link to the Facebook event page for the show. I hope to see you there with some of your friends, of which I’m sure you have many.

Kind Regards,

Kale Bogdanovs

Kale Bogdanovs is Cultured

Many thousands of years ago, when the second ever wooly mammoth was daubed in ochre on a cave wall, one caveman declaimed that it lacked the simple elegance and vibrant expression of the first ever wooly mammoth daubed in ochre on a cave wall. Thus was the culture snob born…

Now, after hundreds of millennia of artistic oppression, one man is fighting back. Dangerously sharp, alarmingly intelligent, once forcibly ejected from the Louvre for being too insightful, Kale Bogdanovs brings his cultural guerrilla war to The Front.

Kale shares the secrets that the artistic elite didn’t want you to know: where the Dollarmites went, why Snoop Dogg is more important than George Bernard Shaw and what Mary Poppins is really all about.

So, if you’ve ever been guilty of believing that Shakespeare was the pinnacle of literary achievement, that Merlot is an evil word, or that no good music was made after 1978, this reformed ex-elitist can teach you to find revelation in the least likely places. Kale Bogdanovs is leading culture out of the galleries, opera houses and wine bars and onto the streets!

8:30pm Monday 27 October – The Front Gallery & Cafe – Shop 3 / 1 Wattle Place, Lyneham ACT

Tix $5 at the door.
