Moore gets the nod as captain for the Brumbies crunch game against the Lions

There aren’t many better opportunities in world rugby than a tour game against Johannesburg’s Lions.

It’s a legitimate outing in South Africa against a pretty ordinary team.

To that end the Brumbies have named their side for this crucial game.

Inspirational skipper Ben Mowen is out with a recurring neck complaint we can’t see being improved by the long flight home. Dan Palmer is also taking a rest at prop and Sam Carter is being stood down to the bench giving Peter Kimlin a chance to show us what he can do.

The backline from last week is being retained, despite the points coming for the replacements.
