Members from ACT Policing’s Drug Investigation Team executed search warrants in Canberra’s north yesterday afternoon (Thursday, March 23) where a number of items were seized.

Just after midday police executed the first warrant on a vehicle in Lyneham. During the warrant police seized a quantity of an illicit substance suspected to be methylamphetamine.

Other warrants were executed on addresses in Braddon and O’Connor where police seized items including suspected stolen property and a sum of cash. Other items were also seized during the search.

A 47-year-old O’Connor man was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House. He will appear in court this morning where police will be opposing bail.

Who cares if the coffee is better in the North or the South. Inner North wins the drug dealing award!

So maybe it’s a ploy from the drug dealer union to get free advertising for the Inner North as every junkie’s favourite destination.
